Whether you are an administrator, grantee, or graduate student in higher education, or a manager or CEO in a non-profit organization, I can assist you in the following areas:
- project design consulting
- literature reviews and summaries
- survey instrument design
- interview and focus group script production
- data analysis (qualitative and qualitative)
- database creation and management
- program evaluation
I have over 10 years of experience in higher education as a researcher, professor and administrator. I have taught students how to conduct research from preliminary literature reviews to final reports.
I have a social science background with an M.A. (2010) and Ph.D. (2016) in cultural and medical anthropology, and a certificate in gender and race studies (2016), all obtained from the University of Alabama. Through this interdisciplinary training, I understand the strengths and limitations of various research designs and approaches. I also have a strong background in qualitative and quantitative research methods.
In addition, I have worked closely with non-profit organizations as a volunteer and researcher. I currently manage data and evaluation for a mid-sized non-profit organization in the South.
As part of my research pursuits, I have investigated Alzheimer's Disease, body image, obesity, HIV risk, pre-school educational interventions, college readiness program development, non-profit program and organizational evaluation, and many other areas.
Given my extensive experiences, I am interested in using my skill set to help those in higher education and non-profit spaces with all or part of their research or data evaluation activities. My promise to my clients is simple: I address your research and data evaluation needs, one project at a time!
